Brand Story of Jarsh
Every brand has a beginning. Ours started not in a workshop or a design studio, but on an ordinary street at dusk, with the screech of tires and the sickening crunch of impact.
Our founder, Steven, was an avid cyclist. He lived for the freedom of two wheels, wind behind the ears and the rhythm of the city passing by. He never rides too fast, he was visible with a rear light under the seat which made him thought he was safe enough. He always wore a helmet, a trusted piece of kit he never rode without.
But one afternoon, as the sun dipped below the horizon and the world was washed in that deceptive, murky twilight, a car pulled out of a side street. The driver simply didn't see him. The collision was sudden, violent. Steven was thrown from his bike.
His helmet did its job. It protected his skull, his brain, his life. For that, he is eternally grateful. But as he lay on the dirt ground, tasting blood and feeling spinning in his brain, he became acutely aware of a different kind of pain. A searing, sharp pain across his cheekbone and jaw.
When he got to the hospital, the story was told in stitches and bruises. The helmet had saved his life, but his face had taken the brunt of the impact with the ground. The physical scar would eventually fade, but the psychological one ran deep. It sparked a question that would become an obsession:
"Why did the driver not see me?"
He had a helmet. He had a small, clip-on rear light. He was following the rules. But it wasn't enough. He realized that traditional safety was fragmented in busy city traffic. The helmet protected your head in an accident, but what if there was a way to actively prevent the accident from happening in the first place?
He looked at his own high-performance helmet, a marvel of impact absorption and saw a missed opportunity. It was the highest point on a cyclist's body, the most visible platform. Yet, it was dark, passive.
What if the helmet wasn't just a piece of protective foam and plastic? What if it was an active safety system?
This was the genesis of our mission. Steven, with a background in design and a new, burning purpose, gathered a team of engineers, fellow cyclists, and safety advocates. They weren't just building a better helmet; they were reimagining what a helmet could be.
They started with two simple, yet revolutionary, principles:
360-Degree Visibility: A cyclist needs to be seen from every angle, at all times. This means integrated, high-lumen LED lights—not as an afterthought, but as a core component. A powerful, wide-angled headlight to make the cyclist unmistakably visible from the front. And an even brighter, attention-grabbing rear light with multiple patterns to alert drivers from behind, yes, especially for the car drivers.
Unified Safety: Safety shouldn't be a collection of accessories that can be forgotten, lost, or fail. By integrating the lights directly into the helmet's structure, we created a single, seamless unit. No more dead batteries in a separate light when you need it most. No more fumbling with straps and mounts. Just one, intelligent system you put on your head and go.
A lesson learned and a solution inspired to bring safety to all cyclists. It’s a light that now guides every one of our helmets. It’s the reason we obsess over lumen output, battery life, and sleek, streamlined flow designs that don’t compromise on safety or style.
We don't just make helmets. We forge guardians for your journey. We build a beacon of confidence for every rider who braves the dawn commute, the evening workout, or the weekend adventure.
Because no one should have to earn their scar to see the light.
Ride Visible. Ride Confident.
